Bullying...?

I'm 15 and i know what it's like to be bullied. I found that the more you get bullied, the more you get used to it.. till you get to a point when you don't care anymore.. but NOONE should have to put up with it :[ My 7 yr old cousin came has been getting bullied.. because she's sooo quite in school, so people pick on her. :@ I've always liked being "different" and i've always liked wearing alternative clothes and listening to alternative music so because i'm not the same as everyone else people in school take the piss out of me every now and then. Soooo many people get bullied i witness it almost everyday.. the only thing that makes me laugh is the fact that the bullies are the ones with the problem! And they know it! So they take everything out on others cause it makes them feel good. This isn't even a question... but if you're getting bullied you're not alone..

Answer:
I was bullied at school... Like you a ware some prety weird cloths and have a rather obscure outlook on life. I had the strenth to ignore the bullies and the Power not to get mad... I take pride in the fact that through all that hell I still came out with good grades and now have a good job. I had the inner strenth to cope... they didnt. Bullies are week. I Pitty them. for someone to be so frustrated at there own lives... and their problems with the basic work of school... all they can do is resort to being a cave man... picking on the people who are diffrent. please ask your Cousin "If the people bully you, Why? ... Because your diffrent?... Whats diffrent? ... Is it that you have the intellegence that they dont... can you actualy understand things they cant..." the answer should be yes... I will never bully either of you, I have no reason... i can cope with my life... one day you will too... and dont worry about the bullies... they will all have a wonderfull carrear at some burger joint or on a cinima counter while you are in your Armoni office

Ok, This is a serious question .. CousinA is getting accused of bullying cousinB. CousinB has threatned cousinA that she would get her kicked of the bus before this all started. Now, CousinA is being told that if this keeps going on then she will be kicked out of school. My school believes cousinA but CousinB's school believes cousinB. Now, Me & cousinC are sort off stuck in the middle of this. Is cousinB actually the bully in this situation.

Answer:
Well, if CousinA sits w/you on the bus, and doesn't pick on her then yes, CousinB is probably the bully... Good luck! :)

My Cyber Bullying Newspaper Report...???

For english i have to write a newspaper report on Cyber Bullying, these are the requirements: ~ Include background detail to the issue ~ Present the key facts for the both sides of the issue ~Use a tone that is objective and authorative Can you please put in the paragraphs and make it make sense! MY NEWSPAPER REPORT ON CYBER BULLYING: It should come as no surprise that there is a major concern in our society about cyber bullying – but is there a valid reason for concern or not? This informative text is written to inform every one of both sides of the argument. Young people are using the internet more than ever; most also have access from home. For many children the internet is not only a convenient and fun after school activity, it is also a major part of their social lives. Cyber bullying takes place online and through text messages. Cyber bullies can be anyone, your classmates or total strangers can bully you online. The affects of cyber bullying can vary from a low self esteem, change of interests and depression. 13 year old Ryan committed suicide after being constantly abused online for 3 months, by his class mates. Ryan’s parents were shocked to find out what had caused such a tragedy. As you can see cyber bullying can lead to such extremes as suicide. (It doesn't have to be perfect, and i am in Year 9)

Answer:
I'm not able to write a paper for you (perhaps 'homework' section can help?), but there is a pretty well known case of cyberbullying that tragically led to a 13 year old, Megan Meier, ending her life. http://www.meganmeierfoundation.org

Bullying Facts Question: 8

Indiscriminate bullying of my niece? Further comments about bullying of her mother.?

My niece is being bullied. See previous comments and answers. There is a person who is supposed to be giving advice but simultaneously is bullying my sister. I have already mentioned that she is doing her best to resolve the situation. Yet I am getting unhelpful comments from a person who wants to do a character assassination of her. I want answers about bullying, but not a continual assault on my sister's failings. I feel that such people are bullying her because she is already doing her best, yet in one reply a person three times chastised my sister. I also know that she has gone through a difficult time and to explain this would take about three thousand more characters of writing space. I feel that people can have tough times and they try to haul themselves back up. Also it is judgemental to hurl abuse at her when you dont know all the facts concerning her life. She is sorting out her daughter's life as much as she can, and needs positive support. Any comments?

Answer:
The first thing your sister needs to do is ignore these stupid comments that people are puitting on here. I have noticed that no matter what the question, some idiot will put a nasty comment to the asker attacking them for whatever reason. That is just something you need to accept when you are going to ask a wide audience for advise. There are so many varying opinions that you are always going to find people who disagrees with what you are saying. In regards to your niece's bullying, the best thing do, if the bullys are from school, is go and see the school. If it still continues, she has to keep on going to school and complaining and, eventually, to Education Authority to have it dealt with. Tell her to keep a diary of all the incidents to strengthen her case. If the kids are not from school (or even if they are) she should try talking to the parents. HOwever, I know that it is likely that the parents won't do anything. I fthey won't, call the POlice. Especially if the bullying is physical. Good Luck.

Bullying Facts Question: 9

Whats your views on Bullying??

Hii, What are your views on bullying? Is it write? Is it wrong? Have you ever been bullied? if yes how old? Please email stampoutbullying2007@yahoo.co.uk < my online petition ( i use this for my school work and exams as scientific facts etc) Thankyou

Answer:
Bullying in schools and on the streets is blighting the lives of hundreds of thousands of children and young people. Victims feel that they are ignored and some are even stopped from going to school by head teachers on the grounds that it is for their own protection. This is a very negative approach to bullying and can encourage even more bullying as the bullies will think they are above the law. I think there should be a policy of zero tolerance, bullying should come under the law the same as any other violence. Since it is children doing the bullying a separate scheme should be set up just for school children between the ages of 10 and 17. This is how it could work: In the first instance there will be a warning, secondly a fine and then Community Service. The police will visit every school at the end of lessons to speak with those accused of bullying. Every school will keep a Bullying Book where all reports of bullying will be recorded along with evidence from witnesses if available. Once the complaint has been recorded the offender(s) will be informed of the complaint against them and told to stay behind after school, parents will be informed. If they admit the offence they will be given a warning and it will be written in the book. If they deny the offence but it has been witnesses, then they will receive a warning. If they deny the offence and it is not witnessed, a record is made of their statement .in the book. If a person has a second complaint made against them, it will be entered in the book and then they will be instructed to remain behind after school where they will be interviewed by a police officer. If found to be guilty they will incur a £40 fine which has to be paid within seven days. Failure to pay the fine will automatically result in the child serving a period of 5 to 15 days Community Service. If a third complain is made against an individual, they will automatic be given Community Service. For children aged 10 to 12 years old they will serve 5 days Community Service. Children aged 13 to 15 will serve 10 days. Children aged 16 to 17 will serve 15 days. Since Community Service is a positive scheme were they will be doing something positive to repay society in a safe and controlled environment, this should not be seen as a punishment, but more of a learning opportunity where they can reflect on their action and hopefully adjust their future behaviour.

Bullying Facts Question: 10

Survivors of Bullying: How did you overcome? What did you learn from the experience? What is your story?

As a child I was always perceived as being "different": too smart, sensitive, artistic, "otherworldly," etc. So, I am a survivor of severe bullying who, due to a disability, still occasionally has to deal with bullying in subtle and not-so-subtle forms. Thank God I became a teacher, writer, poet, and singer--who still has a heart. I am recording a cd for children ("tweens")--roughly ages 8-12. It is a story about a little girl who finally learns to value herself, stand up for herself, and organize the other kids in her school and neighborhood who have suffered at the hands of bullies. If you are a survivor of bullying, how did you overcome? What did you learn? Will you tell me your story? If you don't want to post an answer, you can also email me. This is important online research for an important cause. Bullying is on the rise. It reflects the fact that violence, in many forms, is on the rise in our society. Will you be a part of the solution? Thank you. Thanks, everyone. My email address is indigogriot@yahoo.com Peace to you.

Answer:
I was sexually abused at home (incest by 3 relatives, my grandfather and two much older brothers). That made me a timid person. Then when I went to school, I couldn't even sit down on the bus because the kids didn't want me to sit next to me. So I stood alone, or with a friend who went thru the same thing. We had to sit in a corner against the school building to get away from bullies, but they would come up and taunt us. In gym class, we were always the last to get picked for team sports. Nobody would work with us on class projects (we were not usually at the same recess, or in the same classes, so we usually experienced the bullying alone). Even teachers got in on the act - I was a brilliant student, and if I won a contest, I never got a prize, but others did. Teachers saw me being bullied, and did nothing. The bus drivers saw me standing in the bus aisle to school, which I'm sure was illegal, and did nothing. I missed about 30-40 days of school every year, but I got away with it because I was such a good student. My parents never went to my parent-teacher conferences, and maybe they would have heard about the bullying there. I did eventually end up going to college, but it was hell getting my degree, because I went on to develop bipolar disorder, which was not diagnosed for a long time. I went to grad school, on the basis of my GRE test scores, which were as high as the university geology and geophysics dept. had every seen, so they overlooked flunked courses. But after 3 or 4 years, the bipolar was so bad, I had to drop out (was kicked out, kind of) and worked a bit as a geologist, then became totally disabled. I can't even handle a part time job. I had great trouble selling doll clothes I sell at craft shows last year. I'm learning oil painting, and it's going great, but there are long periods of time I can't do it. I think the bipolar is more severe because of the constant fight or flight hormones at home and at school. The only break I got was hiking in the woods, which I couldn't do in winter. So my life got trashed thru bullying stress which almost certainly made the bipolar very bad. (poor childhoods are proven to make bipolar worse). I have had counseling, but they only want to talk about dealing with the sex abuse or the bipolar, and drop the ball on bullying no matter how much I say I want to work on that. I still think everyone hates me, that's the first thing when I get depressed. When I'm well, it's ok though. But I am depressed most of the time. I wanted to be a scientist since I was 6, (It was TORTURE going thru college with such despair from bipolar ) I wanted children, too,so I lost a lot. So I did not overcome bullying. I do have a terrific husband who is retired and so can pay attention to me a lot, and a nice old farmhouse in the country, and do get to garden and stuff. So my life is good, except for the bipolar and bullying and sex abuse crap that I can't control. I'm 43, and my husband is 68, so there is some bipolar unorthodoxy coming out of me, but the marriage is terrific. And I appear to be as gifted at oil painting as I was at math and science, so this may actually be a viable career for me someday. Of course, then I would lose medicare, and not be able to get my pills anymore. :-( So I dunno. I'm glad if people will work on the bullying issue. That's where the school shooters are coming from.
